"I'm still a bit in shock! I entered the competition because I wanted to support SA.MAST and when Tamsin called to tell me I had won it was a fantastic surprise. I don't know yet what I am going to do with all the money!
"I support SA.MAST because of my great love for animals and the WONDERFUL WORK that they are doing and I have also seen how much of a difference they are making and how much they are valued by Khayelitsha residents too. So many animals in township environments don't have their basic needs, like correct food, shelter and veterinary care met, but SA.MAST is tirelessly working at improving these animal's lives and deserve every Rand of support that they can get. I'm particularly impressed with their mass sterilisation programme, kennels building and animal ambulance service. I'm sure that with enough donations and help and support from caring people, their Animal Hospital will become a reality soon. Great things can and do happen with our support." Barbara Allison
In total, 650 tickets were sold, but only 618 tickets were paid for.
Those ticket numbers not paid for were removed from the competition draw.
The total amount of funds raised through this competition is R61 800.
As promised, 25% of funds raised,
a STUNNING R15 450, has been paid over to the winner!
