SCARED OF KHAYELITSHA? DON’T BE. |
Our clinic is just 5min away from the N2 turn off. Once you take the turn off, it’s a quick route to our clinic along tarred roads – just as if you were driving down to your local grocery store.Click to Download Map and Directions to SA.MAST Animal Clinic |
MASS STERILISATION, GENERAL VETERINARY CARE & OUTREACH INITIATIVES |
The SA.MAST Animal Clinic is permanently located in the heart of Khayelitsha, and is currently responsible for the largest free, area specific and goal driven mass animal sterilisation campaign in Africa.
To date, we have sterilised, vaccinated (incl. rabies) and treated for internal and external parasites, including mange, over 12 000 animals in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, South Africa – now the largest informal settlement in South Africa. We address the causes and consequences of the over-population of diseased, stray, neglected, abused or dangerous domestic animals in specific areas and transform communities. SA.MAST also has an animal ambulance, hospital for the sick and injured, massive kennel building and distribution programme and other community empowerment initiatives.
