Hook Worm

Infection: Persons exposed skin comes into direct contact with soil containing canine excrement and hookworm larvae.
Symptom: Severe irritation, pain and itching of red swollen & blistered areas etc.

Tick Bite Fever


Infection: Contact with dogs especially in an environment in which ticks abound.
Symptom: Headache, nausea, dizziness, swollen & painful lymph nodes, blood poisoning, hemorrhages etc.

Ringworm

Infection: Children in close contact with cats.
Symptom: Skin inflammation, irritation, scarring etc.

Sandworm


Infection: Persons exposed skin comes into direct contact with soil containing canine excrement.
Symptom: Severe irritation, pain and itching of red swollen & blistered areas etc.

Toxoplasmosis

Infection: Persons exposed to soil contaminated with the excrement of cats.
Symptom: Enlargement of lymph nodes, fever, respiratory problems, nervous symptoms, eye lesions etc.

Rabies

Infection: Persons in close contact with domesticated and wild animals.
Symptom: Progressive inflammation of the brain and spinal cord, usually fatal.

Tapeworm

Infection: Ingestion of the infective eggs voided by the dog in particular.
Symptom: Can cause cysticercosis in mans lungs, brain etc.

Scabies

Infection: Direct human skin contact with dog suffering from sarcoptic mange.
Symptom: Skin infection, itching, scarring etc.
